About Maria

Maria von Bothmer Villalba studied art and art history at Princeton and interior decoration at The Parsons School in New York. Appreciation of design and creativity are natural for Maria, who grew up the daughter of a renowned curator of ancient antiquities and spent countless hours in her family’s elaborate gardens in Oyster Bay.

An avid entertainer and botanical enthusiast herself, Maria’s service was founded when she simply could not find creative, top quality floral arrangements delivered at a reasonable price. Additionally, delivery and packaging was consistently disappointing.

MVD now delivers weekly flower arrangements to private homes and offices by subscription. Individual gift, celebration and sympathy bouquets are all sourced fresh at the market and arrive by hand delivery in her stunning, signature packaging.

Maria’s design style is both playful and precise. Whatever the occasion, all flowers and arrangements are custom market-sourced and designed specifically and exquisitely by Ms. Villalba herself. They are classic yet authentically personal, tailored each time to the individual tastes and spaces of her clients.
